A superbly rendered agate of oval form, featuring an undulating pattern of reddish-brown to creamy white and translucent stone; set within a contemporary 14K gold ring in keeping with ancient tradition.
Agate was said to have the power to turn the possessor invisible and to offer protection in battle, by the means of turning the sword of ones foes against themselves.
Other miraculous properties included to dispose of solitude, promote eloquence, sooth the mind, drive away contagious air, stop thunder and lightning, and secure the favor of a princes, besides being very effective against the biting of scorpions and serpents.
Condition: Intact and in very good condition overall. A large and superb piece of jewelry that will be noticed!
