In 1843, William Matheson founded the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Inspired by the Distillery’s peaceful surroundings on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, he brought forth a pioneering single malt whisky that was wonderfully complex and exceptionally smooth. Ever since, Glenmorangie has pursued their craft with uncompromising dedication and endless creativity.

The Grand Vintage Malt 1997 is a deep ocher, with a nose boasting a complex fruity perfume. Floral notes of roses and jasmine herald the palate — where a gentle spice heralds a symphonic blend of sweet candy flavors, berries, and fruits which gives way to a sweet, rich, and delicately spicy finish.
