“Ye Old Buck Shack” was a dilapidated skinning shed nested deep in the Shannon Ridge vineyards. The beauty and history of the 100-year-old building enchanted the winemakers, inspiring them to restore it. Now it stands as a whiskey bar called “Sheep Camp.” With the look and feel of an old Western movie, it serves as a special place to gather and use bad judgement.

Shannon Ridge winemakers take great pride in producing excellent quality Cabernet Sauvignon from the high elevations of Lake County, California. This intense Cabernet was aged in freshly emptied bourbon barrels for three months and the result is oh so delicious.

Shannon Ridge Vineyards lives in harmony with Mother Nature. The vineyards feed the sheep, the sheep feed the vines; lamb feeds the people, and people drink the wine and wear wool. The winemakers are passionate about preserving the land, not only for great vineyard sites, but for the wild creatures which share the property. Their sustainability practices integrate a flock of sheep that clean the vineyards, remove the excess canopy, and reduce the need for chemicals, all while providing natural fertilizer.
