Product Description

Qohor is the easternmost of the nine Free Cities of Essos. It lies on the river Qhoyne and lies between the dense forest of Qohor to the west and the vast plains of the Dothraki Sea to the east. The Qohorik worship the Black Goat who demands daily blood sacrifices. These sacrifices are mainly cattle or horses, but on holy days, criminals are given to the Black Goat.

Qohor was colonized by followers of the Black Goat. The religious dissidents abandoned Valyria, rejecting the religious tolerance practiced by the Valyrian Freehold. The unrivaled Qohorik smiths are the only ones who still know how to rework Valyrian steel and are able to infuse deep colors into their armor.

The Black Goat of Qohor is a heavy copper coin featuring the Black Goat with bulging eyes and twisted horns. A drop of blood is shown above its head, representing the blood sacrifices it desires. The text on the reverse, inscribed in Valyrian, roughly translates to "Qohor With Blood," a reminder of the sacrifices due each day.
