Pay homage to one of the most iconic Marvel Characters, Spider-Man with this, limited edition, Vintage 2001, 14-inch (1/8th scale) Amazing-Spider Man 'with camera' statue, strictly limited to 5000 worldwide, and that has been hand signed by Marvel Co-Founder Stan Lee. At 95 years young, Stan Lee is a true living legend. He was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994, the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995 and received a National Medal of Arts in 2008. The Statue was hand-painted and hand sculpted by none other than Randy Bowen, in dedication to the memory of comic book artist Gil Kane who passed January 31, 2000. Kane's career spanned from the 1940's up into the 90's - co-creating the modern-day versions of the superheroes Green Lantern and the Atom for DC Comics, and co-creating Iron Fist for Marvel.

Few heroes are as synonymous with Marvel than Spider-Man. But why did Bowen select this specific statue? Kane was involved in such major storylines as that of The Amazing Spider-Man #96–98, which, at the behest of the U.S Department of Health, Education and Welfare, bucked the then-prevalent Comics Code Authority to depict drug abuse, and ultimately spurred an update of the Code. In 1997, Kane was inducted into both the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame and the Harvey Award Jack Kirby Hall of Fame. For a half-century now, the wallcrawler has dispensed his unique form of wisecracking, webslinging justice on the streets of New York and throughout the Marvel Universe. Though he has worn many costumes over the years, the classic red-and-blue suit will always be the first thing fans remember when they think of Peter Parker's heroic alter ego. Proudly honoring that heritage, this High End Bust Statue was based upon state-of-the-art three-dimensionally scans of the actor, costume, as well as original uniform and models from the Marvel Studios Archives, combined with Bowen's high end sculpting and painting, to develop the impeccable detail that this statue features. The result is a fantastic realism.

The statue comes individually numbered and includes a Certificate of Authenticity making it an exciting investment that will only get better with age. It's so unique and rare, you will be getting the exact item shown in the pictures.
