The Sous Vide Multicooker from SOUSºV lets you go from sous vide to sear in one device. Sous vide first, then use same device to also give a nice sear.

The top motorized probe quickly and precisely controls sous vide water temperatures, while the bottom probe ensures temperature control over a wide range of cooking temperatures.

Use the multicooker to sous vide, sauté, boil, steam, or to make rice or even yogurt. It also includes a starter recipe book, a sous vide rack, a rice paddle, and rice measuring cup.

What type of bag is needed for when one wants to sous vide?

All vacuum sealer bags made from PE or PA are safe for extended sous vide cooking. As an alternative, Ziploc brand freezer bags also work very well in a pinch and are safe to use for sous vide cooking.
