This Engravable Large Nautical Brass Desk Compass in Wooden Box is an accurate and fully functional sailboat compass, made with a heavy cast brass gimbaled compass. The boxed compass is gimbaled so that the compass remains level even if placed in a boat that severely heels. The brass on the compass is lacquered so it will not tarnish. While this compass is fully functional, it is not intended for marine navigation.
