The SteakChamp Thermometer is a smart, accurate, and durable meat thermometer that will help you cook perfect steaks with ease. The high-precision, German award-winning electronics measure core temperature along the entire surface of the probe, not just the tip. The LED light lets you know exactly when your steak is perfectly cooked, however you like it. It even lets you know when the meat has finished resting and is ready to eat.

This unique, cordless probe is heat resistant up to 900°F, so you can rest assured that it can handle the heat, and features a powerful built-in battery that lasts for a minimum of 1,000 steaks. FAQ
Is the battery replaceable?

No, the SteakChamp is equipped with advanced exceptionally energy-saving LED technology and therefore uses very little power. If you keep to the instructions for use, you can use SteakChamp at least 1,000 times. (2 steaks per week = 10 years). Battery replacement is not possible.

Is this oven safe for reverse searing steaks?

Yes, it is oven safe.

How do you use with multiple steaks?

Cut steak into same thickness, e.g. 1.5inch each steak, so they will all cook at relatively the same rate.

Put SteakChamp in the steak that stays longest as it goes e.g. to medium well.

Remove the medium rare steak, when green flash comes up.

Remove the medium steak when yellow flash comes up.

Do you cook steaks on both sides like normal?

Yes. Cook your steak as you're used to. The flash shows just internal meat temperature.

Do you leave the thermometer in the meat as you cook?

Absolutely, yes. It's heat safe (when inserted full way) up to 900°F.

Is this dishwasher safe?

No, it's not dishwasher safe.

Can you use this for chicken?

No, it cannot be used for chicken since you should cook chicken up to 160°F.

SteakChamp just indicates:
120 for "medium rare"
135 for "medium"
149 for "medium well"

A nice duck breast would be excellent with 135°F "medium".
