No, the SteakChamp is equipped with advanced, energy-saving LED technology and therefore requires very little power. If you keep to the instructions for use, you can use SteakChamp at least 1,000 times. (2 steaks per week = 10 years), however battery replacement is not possible.How do you use with multiple steaks?
Cut your steaks to the same thickness, e.g. 1.5" each, so they will all cook at relatively the same rate. Insert SteakChamp into the steak that will cook the longest. Remove your medium rare steaks when the green light flashes, your medium steaks when the yellow light flashes, and finally, your medium well steaks when SteakChamp flashes the red light.Is it safe for Infrared BBQ's?
As long as your infrared is not hotter than 900°F.How do you protect it from sudden flame flare up?
