The SteakStones Steak + Sides Set
SteakStones are the perfect way serve steak exactly to everyone's specifications. They work by harnessing the dry, even heat of a pre-heated lava stone so that each person can cook their own steak exactly the way they like it. This set includes a larger side plate perfect for holding steak frites, or you can use it to hold a side salad while you grill fresh seafood and veggies for a heart healthy meal.
Simply heat the stone in your oven (under the baking or roasting element), on top of your broiler, or on your grill. The natural properties of the lava stone help it retain an incredibly high amount of heat, perfect for searing meats and sizzling presentations. For optimal use, heat the stone to approximately 540-660°F, which typically takes around 40 minutes in a conventional oven. To check whether the stone is hot enough following heating, place a teaspoon of water carefully on the centre of the stone. If the stone is fully heated this will instantly sizzle and visibly evaporate after 10 seconds.
Your SteakStones Lava Stones cannot be overheated using standard household ovens, but avoid exposure to direct heat i.e. gas or electric hobs, for longer than 40mins.
To clean, submerge in water for 5 minutes to let any remaining heat dissipate, then simply wipe clean. Scour as required. The Bamboo Board should be wiped clean with a cloth; avoid submerging in water and do not leave damp. The ceramic plate is dishwasher safe.
