These crystals are mineral based with a Sapphire coating on the glass. Here is the actual Spec description from Italy. 
Stainless steel 316L case, Ion process plating (IP) in rose gold color, 46 mm diameter, 6/12 H including loops mm. 53, pump pushers, luminous index, sapphire coated glass, soft silicone band, solid steel crown with crown protector, water resistant 10 atm., Citizen chrono movement with date.
