Product Description

The Tap Strap 2 is a single handed, all-in-one wearable keyboard, mouse, and air gesture controller you can use with any application or device that supports mouse and keyboard input. Made out of skin-safe TPU, Tap lets you control your phone, laptop, VR headset, tablet, Smart TV, and everything else using easy finger taps and gestures.

The Tap Strap consists of five flexible rings connected together by strips of braided nylon. Each ring contains a three-axis accelerometer, while the thumb ring is equipped with a six-axis IMU, optical mouse chip, haptic element, battery, and circuit board. The nylon braid contains conductors that bring the signals from the sensors to the circuit board, where an MCU collects the data, derives the tap combination, and transmits the information via Bluetooth.

The Tap Strap operates in three modes that are automatically activated based on the position of the users hand. The default mode is Keyboard Mode, which allows you to type letters, numbers, symbols and characters into your smart devices using any surface. Rest your thumb on a surface, and Tap automatically switches to Mouse Mode with a precise 1,000 DPI optical mouse for on the go navigation, selection, scrolling, dragging and dropping. Lift your thumb again, and it seamlessly switches back into Keyboard Mode.

When you turn your hand perpendicular to the surface, Tap goes into Air Mouse Mode so you can control any Bluetooth enabled device using simple Air Gestures. When you turn your hand parallel to the surface, it switches back to Keyboard Mode. Controller Mode even let's you turn complex commands into simple finger taps and air gesture swipes to control your favorite apps, games, and devices. The Tap Strap 2 is 100% customizable, so you can use their free, simple, & quick TapMapper web tool, open source SDKs, API’s or Unity plugins to tailor your Taps to your needs.

Tap's built in battery lets you control your devices for up to 10 hours on a full charge, and comes complete with a pocket-sized magnetic charging case with enough power to recharge your Tap up to 8 times on the go.

Does the keyboard function require one Tap Strap for each hand? Do I need to buy two Tap Straps?

No! The entire alphabet can be typed with just one worn on either hand. If you'd like to purchase 2 you can pair them to the same device and they will act as independent devices.
