The Evercut Multipurpose Knife has cutting edge blade technology; this knife is the result of 5 years of R&D testing with TB testers and European University researchers. This knife is created with a state-of-the-art laser beam (with a temperature above 4000° celsius) that fuses an ultra-hard material, titanium carbide, onto the edge of a steel blade. The result is a combination of steel's strength and flexibility with an extremely hard cutting edge. The Evercut lasts more than 300 times longer than conventional steel blades and is up to 5 times longer than the benchmark ceramic blade (but without being fragile). The Evercut won the "Kitchen Innovation of the Year" Award at the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt in 2010 and the "European Consumer's Choice" in 2011.
