If you burn according to the included directions, the candles will burn 35-40 hours.

About how long do they last if you burn one every day for 5 hours?

It is better to burn for 2-3 hours to prolong the life. The optimal time is enough to melt all the wax at the top and then for an hour after. Total about 2-2.5 hours. If you follow these directions and trim the wicks, they will last 35-40 hours.
