Artist Tobias Tovera's Permutation series aims to capture the changes that occur in a space, representing something of their active energy by showing what remains. He achieves this by coating mahogany panels with iron oxide and combining various pigments, solvents and minerals to create the visual chemical reactions that adorn the panels.

About the Designer
"My work currently explores paint as a sculptural object in which the process of the medium diffuses into the surface. I create compositions of entropic development that conjure layered textures of color and space. Though I begin with a color that embodies an elemental archetype, these 'life forms' unfold in a natural rhythm of their own; each layer becoming a kind of topography upon which time can be re-experienced."
