Manufactured entirely in the USA, Silver Shield Products are engineered with Ionic+ Technology to be a dependable and sustainable solution. The primary mechanism of action behind Ionic+ is the release of ions from the yarn or fiber. When you incorporate Ionic+ into the fibers of the fabric, positively charged ions will be released in the presence of moisture (such as moisture vapor naturally emitted by the skin). This Ionic action acts in several ways to inhibit and eliminate bacteria on the surface the garment, protecting it from microbial impacts.

Silver Shield powered by Ionic+ Technology is a EPA registered antimicrobial product. Silver Shield powered by Ionic+ Technology fiber and filament has also received Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 accreditation, which certifies that it supports human ecology through biocompatibility and the absence of harmful substances in the manufacturing process.
