The X series range utilizes 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and lithium polymer rechargeable batteries and transmitting dongles for PC and Mac for a completely wire-free listening experience. The range includes the X-1 and the flag ship X-3 speaker that have a 35 meter range, and the ability to pair as many of the speakers with a single transmitter. The internal rechargeable battery allows up to 8 hours of wireless playback, and when coupled with the 3.5mm line in, it can be used in conjunction with your iPhone/iPod/MP3 player. The X series speakers' transmitting dongles that ship with the system use their own 2.4 GHz wireless frequency to create their own wireless network—this means there is no requirement for existing routers or WiFi network. It’s as simple as plug and play! Combine this with your MIMI™ USB dongle and you are able to wirelessly control your wireless speaker system. The same principle applies for Spotify Apps or any other App that can remotely control your music services.
