The Rolex Milgauss was initially designed as an anti-magnetic watch which would serve scientists working in powerplants, research labs and other locations with a high electro-magnetic field. The name Milgauss is short for Mille Gauss, and refers to the watch's ability to withstand a magnetic flux density of up to 1,000 Gauss. This particular Milgauss features a black dial, Oyster bracelet and has also been coated with a PVD coating.
