For anyone into vintage and collectibles, the devil is in the details, and this applies to military outfits and accessories. These military cufflinks are our tribute to US WWII clothing, with the 13-star army buttons of the Second World War period. At the start of American involvement in the war, branches of the military each had their own unique style of button to customize their clothing. This was because the uniforms themselves were, well, uniform, in the same kind of herringbone twill cloth. The 13-star button design originally turned an essential uniform component into a symbol of belonging, and is now a signifier of authenticity.
