Product Description

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was an American architect, interior designer, writer, and educator, who designed more than 1,000 structures, from houses, to offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, hotels, and museums. Wright believed in designing structures that were in harmony with humanity and its environment, a philosophy he called "organic architecture"

This stylized piece of art glass features a desert landscape, and is adapted from “Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers” - one of a set of magazine covers Frank Lloyd Wright designed for Liberty magazine in 1927. The magazine was never published, but Wright later re-created the design in 1955 for a rug, and it was also adapted by the Taliesin Architects for an art glass window installed in the 1970s remodel of the entrance to the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, Arizona where it can still be seen today.
