Established in 1643 by a wine merchant, Augier is the oldest of the Cognac Houses. Its history is that of a pioneering House who brought to light the wealth of the Cognac region’s terroirs and grapes at a time when the region was discovering the potential of its eaux-de-vie. Keen to safeguard this heritage, Maison Augier has been rededicated to its original calling: “Strive for typicality, cultivate neglected terroirs and grapes, create cognacs of singular character.”

L’Oceanique is a cognac marked by maritime influences and an iodized character. It's made from Ugni Blanc from Bois Ordinaires, a little-known terroir on the Island of Oleron Bois. Influenced by the ocean’s spray, this terroir lends the coastal-born eaux-de-vie a mineral and citrus character. The first nose is characterized by the ocean influences, followed by ripe citrus and sweet spices. The palate opens on mineral and iodized notes, with vivid flavors characterized by pink grapefruit. The finish offers lots of flowers with a slightly spice, pepper notes, and a hint of blond tobacco.

Le Sauvage is a powerful cognac with an exceptional structure. It hails from Petite Champagne, where chalky soils impart both structure and balance. The Ugni Blanc grapes are a traditional variety from the Cognac region, offering wines with optimum acidity and alcoholic strength for distillation. This cognac has a powerful and structured nose thanks to the distillation on reinforced fine lees. The effect on the palate is direct and vivid. The body is complex and fruity with notes of candied apricot and fresh-cut pear. The finish is complex and spicy with really well integrated wood notes accented by vanilla, cinnamon, and clove.

Le Singulier is a highly aromatic, expressive cognac due to the gentle exuberance of a rare grape—the Folle Blanche. It hails from Fine Champagne; one of the most prestigious terroir of the Cognac region which provides extremely complex and rich eaux-de-vie. Folle Blanche is a traditional grape variety with remarkable aromatic richness of fruit and subtle wood notes. The first nose is subtle and elegant, followed by fruity notes of wild peach, pear, and apricot. The body is round and fine, giving room to an intense fruitiness balanced by wood and spices. The finish has great equilibrium with subtle oaky notes.
