In 1980, Carlo Crocco created the original Hublot: a watch featuring a gold case and natural rubber strap. For the first time in the history of watchmaking, a precious underground material had been combined with an above ground natural substance. Not long after, other leading watchmaking brands started using rubber too, and it quickly became commonplace. Now present in almost every country, and with over a quarter billion dollars in annual sales revenue, Hublot has become a horology force to be reckoned with.
Crafted in the form of Hublot's King Power, this timepiece displays the famous F1™ logo, showcasing the collaboration between the Formula One Management and Hublot's watch team. Inspired by the world of F1TM, this timepiece combines high-quality materials with cutting-edge research for a watch that is dialed in with details. It features a 48mm case diameter with a bezel that's been designed to evoke the disc breaks on a Formula 1 TM car. The bracelet is made up of two layers— rubber on the inside and fabric that's similar to the one used to make racing driver's overalls on the outside.
