Does it have the capability to record? Either with or without additional hardware?

This model does not have recording capability.

Will the live view from the cameras keep showing on the monitor indefinitely or does the view time-out after a predetermined time period?

As long as the camera and monitor are on, the image remains on. It provides a constant real-time video stream.

How long does it take to charge or does it plug in?

You can use it on the rechargeable battery or plug it in for full-time operation.

Fully charged batteries will last 5-8 hours. The charging cables have USB or AC options so you can use car cigarette lighter adapter or we also provide 12v to 5v wiring options.

Does the camera have a zoom function?

This version of the system does not have a zoom function.

What is the camera angle of view?

The angle of the camera is 93 degrees. It is a wide angle but not fisheye.
