Jean-Claude Louis is an Alsace, France, native and self-taught artist working with traditional film, digital photography, digital processing and printmaking techniques to create images that explore themes of the natural and man-made world. His creative processes are a reflection of his training as a physician and scientist and the 30 years he spent in biomedical research in France and the USA. He approaches his artwork in much the same way he approached science: through continuous exploration and experimentation.
